    We're now looking for an experienced L&D Assessor Team Leader & Lead Internal Quality Assurer (LIQA) to lead our assessor team, oversee qualification delivery, and ensure the highest standards of internal quality assurance across our learning programmes.
     
    This is a full time permanent role with attendance at our Widnes or Aberdeen office required at least once a week.
     
    We would welcome applications from candidates based anywhere across the UK with the relevant experience and qualifications but they must be available to travel nationally as and when required.

  • Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified IQA professional who enjoys combining people leadership, quality assurance and operational management to create outstanding learner experiences and qualification outcomes.

    As our Lead IQA and Team Leader, you'll take overall responsibility for the quality, compliance and effectiveness of qualification delivery across multiple pathways.
     
    What You'll Be Doing
     
    •  Lead and develop a geographically dispersed team of vocational assessors
    •  Act as the organisation's Lead Internal Quality Assurer, maintaining robust IQA and Internal Verification processes
    •  Manage learner progression from enrolment through to completion, ensuring achievement targets and KPIs are met
    •  Drive consistency and excellence in assessment practice through observations, coaching, feedback and standardisation
    •  Monitor assessor capacity, capability and utilisation to ensure sustainable and efficient delivery
    •  Use learner and performance data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
    •  Build positive relationships with operational leaders, stakeholders and awarding bodies
    •  Ensure ongoing compliance with awarding body, regulatory and organisational requirements
    •  Support the development of future qualification pathways and assessor specialisms
  • About you:

  • What We're Looking For
     
    We're keen to hear from people who have substantial experience within regulated vocational qualification environments and who are passionate about enabling others to succeed.

    Essential
     
    • Recognised Internal Quality Assurance qualification (V1, IQA or equivalent)
    • Assessor qualification or equivalent vocational assessment experience
    • Experience leading, coaching or managing vocational assessors or learning professionals
    • Strong knowledge of quality assurance, verification and compliance requirements
    • Experience managing qualification programmes, learner pipelines and completion targets
    • Ability to analyse data and use insights to improve performance and learner outcomes
    • Experience working with learning management systems and reporting tools
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
    • Willingness to travel nationally
    Desirable
     
    • Knowledge of both English and Scottish qualification frameworks
    • Experience of Health & Social Care qualifications, including NVQs and SVQs
    • Understanding of apprenticeship standards
    •  Experience delivering or evaluating adult learning programmes
