  • Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

  • Our TEC Team aims to effectively enable people to live the best lives possible, with the support of Technology Enabled Care.

The TEC Assessment Specialist will be part of the go-to expert team for assessing opportunities to introduce Technology Enabled Care into day-to-day support, ensuring the successful transition of service delivery from traditionally accepted models into forward thinking, innovative services that use Technology Enabled Care and all resources available.  The ultimate aim of TEC is to work with our operational teams to deliver higher levels of independence and inclusion for people we support in line with their own needs and the organisation’s strategy.

The TEC Assessment Specialist will be responsible for exploring, implementing and evaluating TEC solutions within services, ensuring the people we support are confident in using them and satisfied with the service they receive.

You will work with the people supported, their staff, families and health professionals to ensure we provide a safe and high-quality service which meets any statutory requirements set out by the CQC.

Good communication is key in this role, as is an understanding of the technology available and how it can positively impact care provision.  You will be responsible for communicating with local authority commissioners and external stakeholders and will play an active role in presenting the benefits of technology in care provision.

This is a full-time, permanent role covering the Midlands, so travel will be required in order to provide face to face support in services that are exploring new TEC options.

We are offering a salary of £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.  After a successful probation period, you will also have the option of a 4 or 5 day working week.

The successful candidate should hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care i.e. Qualified Nurse, Social Worker, SVQ Level 4 (Scotland) or Care and Management Level 5 (England).  If you do not have a suitable qualification, you must be able to demonstrate extensive experience in the social care sector.

A UK driving license and your own car are essential for this role.

    Experience

Our ideal candidate would have experience of:
    • Providing support to individuals with additional support needs, including learning disabilities, autism and mental health concerns.

    • Working with a care planning system or other health and social care IT system.

    • Getting to know people individually and ensuring their needs are met in a way that is caring, respectful and person-centred

    • Working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to always ensure their safety and quality of life

    • Problem-solving and finding creative solutions to issues

    • Working independently, ensuring deadlines and goals are met

    • Challenging the status quo in a caring and respectful way to ensure the best outcomes for people supported
