We are currently recruiting for Full-Time (37.5 hour) Support Workers to support 6 gentleman who share a large bungalow in a quiet estate in the Drumoyne/Govan area of Glasgow
 
The people we support have faced a lot of challenges in the past because of their learning disabilities and physical disabilities but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life! They enjoy lots of activities, including going out for walks, catching up with friends, listening to music, aromatherapy and keeping in touch with their families.  They have a large shared garden which they love to use in the summer for events.  However, they’re always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge.

Our support team are very diverse and work well together to ensure the people we support are happy and safe in their own homes. Physically the role can be demanding. There is also the expectation of being able to administer medication, however full training will be provided. This is a medically complex service so you will need to be able to communicate with health professionals.

Our team provide support 24 hours a day, so we are looking for some flexibility to work a variety of day shifts (including some weekends) and occasional waking nights. 
 
Our shifts are usually 2 x 14 hour and 1 x 9 hour shifts per week, over 7 days on a rota basis
 
Experience of working in the social care or healthcare sector is essential in this role, as the people we support have a variety of healthcare and mobility needs.  If you've also got experience in supporting non-verbal individuals, that would be a bonus!
