Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

We deliver creative, dynamic and person-centred service to a young man at our award-winning service in Inverness. The individual we support has specific support needs and we have a tailored care and support plan to meet his individual needs. As a team we work together to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and aspirational outcomes/goals of the person we support are met. 

As a Support Worker you will help to organise and participate in activities. This young man enjoys activities such as swimming, football, trampolining, going to the cinema, DIY, walking and keeping fit, listening to music, going to the gym, going on holidays and accessing the community. You will support him to make his own choices and develop a range of life skills such as:- cooking, cleaning, managing finances, supporting with personal hygiene, scheduling & attending appointments, meal planning and shopping. 

You need to have the ability to form positive relationships with the person we support, colleagues, guardians, families and other professionals. You need to have a good understanding of discrimination and health and wellbeing issues.

We are currently recruiting for a 30-hour Support Worker to support for 2 shifts per week from 8am - 10pm, with a sleepover included.  We can also accommodate bank roles.  To ensure fairness for all staff, the successful applicant must be able to work varying days from Monday-Sunday.

The person we support is in a temporary home at the moment, while he waits to move into his new home.
