Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enriching the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.

Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.

We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over 100 national and regional awards!

We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

We are three fun loving, charismatic young adults and our age range is 24-35. We all have communication challenges, but we also have our own way of communicating what we want and what we need. Our staff are trained in various things such administering medication, Moving and Positioning, Makaton and how to make us happy and safe.

We are all proud of what we achieved in our lives, We don’t let things get us down or beat us, our smiles and positive attitudes are inspirational to all who know us. We are a family here at Applegarth!

We love different activities from going out to staying in and watching TV, listening to music and sensory games.

One of us loves Mr Tumble, one of us loves music and one of us loves to be out and about.

We all have the same goals and aspirations which is to be given a voice and to enjoy out lives to the full!

Our families are so important to us, and we would like you to keep this updated with how we are and what we have been up to. They love and appreciate this especially our Mams.

All the staff at Applegarth will always strive to get the best outcomes for us and so every week they look at various activities within the local community to see what we can do, we also get updates from local authority, “What to do” and day services

Fun, Inspirational. Loving, Happy, Determined, Family, this is how we would describe ourselves

We all get on with everyone once we get to know them, when people are new to us we are a little  reserved but that is short lived

Our bungalow is well adapted to meet all our needs, it has lovely gardens to front and rear

Our gardens are all level and easily accessible for us to be able to sit and enjoy the fresh air toge5ther

In our living room we like to be together for movie nights and to listen to music, but we love to eat our meals together in the dining room.

We are very lucky we live in a small Cul-de sac

At first our neighbours have reservations about us living here, but this has got easier over the past 12 months

We have our own private driveway, were we park our vehicles, the staff are able to park in the front of the lamppost making sure we don’t impede our neighbours parking

Your values:
We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.

Naturally it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. People's values are important to use, so we look for people with:

- Patience
- Empathy, compassion and sensitivity to others
- A strong work ethic
- Reliability
- Honesty
- Determination
- A problem solver
